The medical literature is riddled with biases, mostly cleverly concealed. But here’s a great new name for a bias that has hitherto gone incognito.
“Don’t give your children ham” says the World Cancer Research Fund today, claiming that 3,700 cases of bowel cancer a year could be prevented in the UK if everyone ate less than 70g of processed meat a week.
Figures published today by the School Food Trust show that the Government’s target of increasing the take-up of school meals is going to be missed. Is this a failure? Yes and no.
